The Brief:

Capablue had been involved in a number of high profile development projects, including BBC iPlayer and YouView as well as working with broadcasters BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Five. They were at the cutting edge of digital broadcast but nevertheless very little was known about them.

Capablue appointed Reality PR to raise the profile of the company and its management team within the connected tv industry.

The Goals:

Capablue wanted more traffic and a more prominent position in the rankings for connected TV. The company was looking to attract businesses looking for technology partners in TV and new innovative platforms.

The Campaign:

Reality PR systematically hit the media space with a powerhouse bundle of initiatives – thought leadership articles, news jacks, forward feature tracking, news, blogs, new appointment announcements and letters to editors, all carefully placed to bring Capablue to the full attention of their target audience.

The Result:

Capablue became perfectly positioned as a useful and relevant source for the latest industry news. Twitter and Facebook channels drove news to Capablue and created dialogue among key people within the industry.

Capablue partnered with Brightcove and TV Genius to develop the connected platform for Scottish Broadcaster STV. They were also appointed to develop the connected platform for Playboy TV. Reality PR was also able to announce that Capablue won the Samsung Smart TV Challenge which was published in The Telegraph

Capablue are recognised as industry leaders. Just take a look at industry publications and nationals – NMA, Daily Telegraph, Broadcast magazine to name a few. The list goes on and the name Capablue is now synonymous with VoD and connected platforms.

Capablue’s spokespeople were invited to speak at key industry events and the company bagged an industry award. Capablue formed many key partnerships and were acquired by Arqiva.
